The reverse culture shock going back to America after living in Australia for 1.5 years was shocking for sure! As an American living in Australia, i was expected some cultural differences and going back to Philadelphia, I noticed some big changes in America that I never noticed before as an American living in my home country. The shocks of moving abroad can be a difficult transition, but moving to Australia from America was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
My Australian husband was also surprised. There were some culture shocks as an Australia in America as well and it was interesting to see America from an Australian's perspective. Vising America has its challenges, but just like visiting Australia, it's definitely worth it!
