Rice husks were regarded as farm waste. However, with the application of the right technology, Rice Husk has become an important source of biodegradable products such as home and tableware, fuel briquettes and pellets, fibre boards and panels. Rice husk also serves as a rich source for the extraction of all forms of silica and activated carbon.
Tableware Production Process:
1. High-temperature treatment of rice husk.
2. Crushing the rice husk to a fine powder, nearly to Nano Powder.
3. Mixing with plant starch, lignin, and other natural adhesive materials.
4. Setting the mixture into the product steel mould.
5. Pressing with 400kg mechanical moulding pressures under a high temperature of about 350 degrees Celcius to form products.
6. Polishing and grinding.
