Here’s an update to my first rundown video building my ultimate touring rig.
After HEAPS of comparing, watching other build videos and getting quotes, I finally bit the bullet and had a Trig Point Canopy replace the tub. Beyond stoked with the quality, process and decision on the Trig Point.

Install date: 27/06/22 - 01/07/22
I forgot to mention, recently in Brisbane I had the Hilux weighed in carrying:
Full 140L Diesel Tank
Full 70L Water Tank
Various tools, camping gear, shopping, gas tank (roughly 84.5kg)
- Front axle = 1.44t
- Rear axle = 1.60t
- Combined = 3.04T (no occupants)
