Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Sitting at 1650m at the edge of the picturesque Lake Angelus this alpine hut is well worth the strenuous climb required to get there. It’s not for the faint of heart, but as with all good things, effort most definitely equals reward. The most straightforward way to Angelus Hut is via Robert Ridge. Beginning at Mt Robert car park, the unrelenting Pinchgut Track zig-zags up the bare northern aspect of Mt Robert, providing stunning views of Lake Rotoiti below. Once you reach Relax Shelter, the gradient eases and you begin the spectacular Robert Ridge Route to Angelus Hut. The entire track is extremely exposed and an alternate route should be taken in poor weather. Date hiked: March 2023 Distance: 24 KM return Duration: 2 days (overnighter) More info on the trail: - Check out this Safety video for logistics and planning - https://youtu.be/sg5BAkJwvMg?si=q6drYzRsYI4s9-fF - https://exploretraveloasis.com/angelus-hut-guide/ - https://tinytramper.com/mount-robert-to-angelus-hut/ - https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/nelson-tasman/places/nelson-lakes-national-park/things-to-do/tracks/angelus-hut-via-pinchgut-track-and-robert-ridge-route/ - https://nelsontrails.co.nz/angelus-hut/ All music licensed by Musicbed, try a free month here - https://www.musicbed.com/invite/kcEgg - Like Wind by Judah Earl - Stories by Judah Earl - Stay by From Somewhere Quiet - Ivory Coast (ft.
