It is the largest airport in France: 65 million passengers per year, 315 destinations around the world, 500,000 aircraft movements in 2016. An air and commercial hub, Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle is home to more than 700 companies, which employ 85,000 people, and sees hundreds of thousands of tons of goods flow through it every day.
Synonymous with dreams and travel, the airport is also a place conducive to scams, thefts and trafficking of all kinds.
To deal with this, there are many specialized units. Among them, the Border Police (PAF, 1,600 men) which deals in particular with baggage thefts (3,000 cases recorded in 2016).
