Well, this is not a No Miss/1LC but it'll do for now.
UPDATE: OK, that's taken care of. Rolling Thunder 2 no-miss all clear is now at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqDeTLYgejE
In stage 4 some point pressing can be done. There are a couple sets of doors that will keep letting enemies into the area until you blow up the power box.
When you're on round 8, the key is to have 100+ bullets at the time you get to the last lift. So... you will have to somehow conserve bullets along the way. As much as I hate to have to tell you this, that means sparing some of the enemies. It's because there just aren't enough bullets to kill them all & get the boss. Round 8 has NOT ONE checkpoint... if you get killed here it's all the way back to the entrance. You can abuse that for higher scores if you've got spare lives. At least when you reach the Geldra leader, Gimdo, you'll own him easily assuming you've got 30 bullets or more. While staying back as far as possible so his laser can't reach you, spam like hell until he's gone. Simple as that. It isn't so in the Sega Genesis version, where his attacks are totally reworked & he'll surprise you with a 2nd form after you think you've done him in.
The 3 "rank" levels are novice, standard, & expert. All these do is change how much time you have to clear each stage.
Something odd: When the game got to the name entry table it took away 50 points. The score after beating Gimdo was 492.870.
Thanks to Ayako Saso ("Aya") for the game's great BGM. The desert theme "View of Dynamism" is one of my favorites. RT2's arcade version has a few tracks that aren't in the Genesis one, like "An Ancient Way" (round 6) & "Terror For Sale" (round 7). Round 8 even has an extra theme "Running Decayed" for the 1st section.
