20,000 miles later, I decided to upgrade my Triumph Bonneville’s (2012 SE) suspension by adding progressive fork springs and some Hagon 2810 rear shocks. My back has been sore after long trips and each bridge joint finds it way from my lumbar to my neck.
As I upgraded my motorcycle, I began thinking about what makes a motorcycle a motorcycle, and if making my motorcycle more comfortable threatened it’s identity - and reducing the romance of riding a motorcycle.
If you upgrade a motorcycle, one component at a time, until it no longer requires risk/discomfort, at what point does it cease being a motorcycle? That was the central question on my mind as I made this video.
