This video features two online methods to add motion to Midjourney images, and other image types.
Investigations of depth map applications on AI generated architectural imagery was inspired by Bolojan Daniel.
My thoughts on these tools - Although the motion and depth created using the first method are more substantial, the second method is more user-friendly with better control over the image depth map.
In the introduction I mention a "Shallow Impact" phase, which I believe many designers are starting to experience. It's an effect of our infatuation, experimenting with the technology's capabilities, and pushing it's boundaries for our own creative fulfillment.
We are ruthlessly experimenting, but without a productive agenda. Over the next few weeks/months we should see designers create and define purpose for their use of this technology. This is when we will see the real potential of AI as a genuine design/engineering assistant for new adopters of this technology.
