In this video I show you how you can use strips of fabric scraps to weave and make a beautiful new fabric which you can then add slow stitching details to create a beautiful new fabric.
The larger piece will be used as a background for a still life for Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery slow stitch project volume 7. #Roxysjournalofstitchery
I’ll be using the smaller piece for a fun easy beginner slow stitching project which I’ll share in the next few days.
I hope you enjoy this easy project which is a great way to use fabric scraps. M It is suitable for beginners to slow stitching and can be adapted to whatever supplies you have or whatever size you want to create.
With thanks to Rachel @roxycreations679 and Sarah @roxycreationsbysarah for hosting the still life project - such an adventure as we experiment with new slow stitching approaches.
Here’s a link to another background I have created for the Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery still life project:

I just saw my buddy Annie from @artyfartyannie has also put out a video with lots of other wonderful ideas for using fabric strip scraps so head over and check that out too 🤗
And as always, please check out my stitchy friends who also share videos: Sally @DottyBeeVintage , Kristy @SewbitsKristy , Paula @Craftaartissaurus and a special out to Savana @LoveAlwaysSavana who I have started watching recently.
Cheers,
Christine
