As we continue our new series on The Sportsman this month we sent our man Chis Sutton to Old Trafford to meet up with former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll. Every month, the man who won the Premier League with Blackburn in 1995 will interview one of the league’s former players to discuss the biggest games they played in and so much more. On Monday, one of the most iconic rivalries in Premier League history will resume at Old Trafford as Manchester United host Arsenal. This fixture is not what it was when both sides were fighting for the title and the animosity between the two camps was very real, with the games between the two sides often flaring up and producing unforgettable moments. One of those moments came between Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira as the two captains had a fierce shouting match in the Highbury tunnel, an incident that ended with Keane saying the famous line: “I’ll see you out there.” Our man Chris Sutton went to meet the former United goalkeeper who was the man closest to Roy Keane that day. When Sutton asked if he had seen the Irish midfielder that angry before, he surprisingly answered: “He’s not angry. Trust me. It’s not anger. It's preparing for the game the right way. Vieira was trying to bully our players and Roy Keane stood up for them and that's what it's all about. That's what you need in a captain. Roy Keane won the game that day because what happens in the tunnel you take out onto the pitch and we won the game.” This is Sutton's Big Games with Roy Carroll Read the full story: https://www.thesportsman.com/features/keane-wasn-t-angry-ex-united-keeper-lifts-lid-on-famous-tunnel-bust-up ___ Follow The Sportsman on social media...
