Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. One cylinder, 452 cc, 40 hp. Not enough for travelling? We wanted to test it for ourselves on a journey that first took us from Milan to the sea and then to the 2,800 metres of the Col de la Bonette, tackling the highest road in Europe. In what we like to call the European Himalayas. How did it go? How does one travel with a small, single-cylinder, 5900-euro 450? We filled it up with petrol, loaded it with luggage and set off on a test of 855 km and 5000 metres of elevation gain in one and a half days. Here's how it went and what Stefano Cordara thought of it
