Railroad Crossing With 65 MPH Speed On 4 Lane Highway. Phosphate Train Hits The Railroad Diamond In The Middle Of A 4 Lane Highway. Newbie & Conductor Riding Rear Of Boxcar Train. Amtrak Flies Through A Railroad Crossing In Lakeland, Florida. CSX Train With Heritage Unit Passing Our Motel Window With Phosphate Train In The Bone Valley.
Look how long this railroad crossing is on this 4 lane highway. It is almost street running, it is so long. The speed limit is 65 mph on this highway that runs between Mulberry and Barrow, Florida. The first two trains in this video are filmed at opposite ends of this crossing.
Then we go a few miles west to Mulberry on this same line and catch another phosphate train. This train is crossing the railroad diamond in the middle of the busy 4 lane highway. I recently did another video of this railroad diamond showing two other trains.
Next, we see a local freight reversing into Lakeland, Florida which is just a few miles north of Mulberry. I don't know if this is the same crew that I filmed recently riding the rear of a train. The different color safety vests do have meaning. One is a newbie and the other is the conductor training him. Check out all the different boxcars. We also take a close look at very old rail that is in use on the main line. Look how old this rail is! It's older than the last video where I showed rail.
After the CSX local we see an Amtrak train flying through a railroad crossing on the west end of Lakeland. That is a 3 track crossing and looks dangerous to me. How fast do you think that train was going?
The last train is another phosphate train and it was filmed from our motel room in Mulberry, Florida. I could see the trains from the bed. This train has a CSX heritage unit on it.
