I love both of my tents. One is canvas and has been standing in extreme conditions for 2 years. The other is a Russian hot tent that I've had up for about 5 weeks. How much experience do I have?
That depends. I am pretty good at starting a fire these days and gathering wood. But I don't really have true bushcraft skills and definitely no carpentry or construction skills or training. I could probably make a shelter if I had to, but that would just come from all the YouTube training (watching) over the years.
