Sacral chakra or Swadhishthana is our second primary chakra which is located in the lower abdomen. It is associated with water element and the color orange. This chakra forms our emotional identity and governs our creativity, emotional intelligence & flow of emotions, along with intimacy and bonding in relationships, our ability to experience pleasure and set healthy boundaries. It also governs our adaptability and our capacity to nurture ourselves as well as others.
Imbalance in sacral chakra can make a person either too emotional or too detached in relationships. They may find difficulty in experiencing joy or may be overly focused on physical pleasure. They may lack adaptability and fear change. Imbalance in this chakra is also associated with the emotions of guilt and shame. Lack of creativity and obsessive/ addictive behaviour are also seen. In the physical body, imbalance could manifest as infertility and PMS issues. Bladder & kidney problems, abdominal & pelvic issues, allergies and mental health issues may result.
