In this video, i examine the latest batch of the Sade This Far Box Set, a fabulous looking set collecting all 6 of their studio albums in one elegant box set. The set was mastered at half speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios with Sade and the band members input. Obviosly a lot of love and care has gone into this, just like everything Sade is involved in. From the beautiful, elegant and understated slipcase to all six albums replicating the original packaging right down to the paper stock, this set is obviously a labor of love and a gift to fans. When it was released last year, there were widepread quality control issues with the pressings. Noisy, off center, and generally poor pressings plagued the rollout of this set. Word must have reached up to the top, because the box then disappeared from retailers for several months, and has just started showing up again in recent weeks. Curious if these issues had been solved, I took the chance when i saw it for a great price at Amazon. This review documents my findings.
