Sagada in Mountain Province is one of my favorite places in the Philippines. I first explored Sagada more than 30 years ago as a backpacker and has since returned more than 30 times there already. And each visit to Sagada provides a whole new experience of enjoying this mountain retreat in a new perspective.
In my younger years, I would come to Sagada for adventures: going caving, trekking to waterfalls, conquering its mountain peaks. As I become older, I come to Sagada to relax, to recharge, to meet fellow travelers and exchange travel stories.
Now that I am retired, I come to Sagada to enjoy the peace and tranquility that it offers. I come to enjoy its cold weather, its unpolluted air, its misty mornings and even its solitary rains. I now come to Sagada to reminisce of those many happy moments I spent there in the past, and to remember those people whose paths I once crossed in Sagada. Sagada will always be a special place for travelers like me "to live life to the fullest, and to travel with no regrets!"
