Samar pacifies Saloni and tells her not to feel offended with Shubra's behaviour. Meanwhile, Gayatri tells Narpat that they should ask Samar if he is interested in meeting his future bride. Ambica gets irked and asks Gayatri that widows should not interfere in any matters. Later, Kaveri is shocked when Samar expresses his inability to marry her as his parents have fixed his marriage somewhere else. Kaveri tells Samar that she will not let him dump her like this. On the other hand, Manno Bhabhi urges Narpat to fix Saloni's engagement with Padma's son at the earliest. Narpat agrees and fixes Saloni's alliance. A heartbroken Saloni then meets her best friend, Neel, and informs him about her engagement. Neel is also taken aback with this news. Both the friends are shattered as they love each other but do not have the courage to express their feelings.
