In this talk, Siddhi will share the ups and downs of her entrepreneurial journey, the importance of sustainable business practices, and how young minds can turn their passions into impactful ventures. She will delve into the challenges faced by farmers in the North-Eastern regions and how this venture is addressing these issues by fostering innovation, promoting organic farming and ensuring fair trade practices. Siddhi Karnani is an IIM -A graduate who opted out of lucrative job placement and chose to discover the road not taken by co-founding a socio commercial enterprise - Parvata Foods. Over the last decade, Siddhi’s work has evolved into an ecosystem of impact creation and innovation in the North-East region. Parvata's proprietary state-of-art spice processing plant caters to the global demand from Europe and the US, generating an economic corridor that benefits the small farmers of North East India directly. Being recognized with the National Agriprenuer Award in 2017 and the First Lady Award in 2018 by the Hon’ble President of India, Siddhi has been a role model for thousands of women looking to venture out in agricultural based businesses. Notably, Siddhi is featured in the Forbes Asia 30 under 30 and Prime Minister Modi ji has appreciated her work in his Mann ki Baat broadcast.
