San Diego Adventure: Delays, Sightseeing & In-N-Out Burger! Join us on our journey to San Diego, California to visit Miriam’s son for his outpatient surgery (spoiler: his man bun remains intact!). What should have been a simple flight turned into a travel adventure with unexpected delays, a surprise luxury rental car upgrade, and some serious jet lag. While in San Diego, we explored Liberty Station, visited the southwestern most public road in the continental U.S., and took in the stunning Pacific Ocean views. We also stopped by an authentic local Mexican restaurant (language barrier included!) and, of course, checked off a bucket list item—finally trying In-N-Out Burger! From sunrise to sunset (and way too much time in airports), this trip was anything but ordinary. Come along for the ride as we soak in the sights, enjoy some great food, and embrace the adventure—wherever it takes us! Who are John & Miriam? Having traveled extensively across the United States, from the corners of our great nation to the heart of Québec Province in Canada, our adventures are defined by a spirit of curiosity. We prioritize the road less traveled, seeking out National Parks, wide open spaces, and hidden gems. As empty nesters, we embrace this new phase of life by turning our attention to the open road and all the possibilities it brings. Our motto, “All roads lead to another road,” perfectly encapsulates this approach to life and travel—one of discovery, challenges, and memories. For us, the journey is just as important as the destination, and we cherish every mile we travel together and the human connections we make along the way.
