This was my 1st ride with BARC (Bay Area Recumbent Cyclists). There were 19 riders and many people I have only known online and this was our 1st meeting in person. I rode to the meetup in Emeryville with Zach and Michi from their home in Alameda. They don't have e-assist and I do and I had to put in some extra effort to keep up during the 10 mile ride to the start. It was a good warm-up. The ride was on the San Francisco bike trail opposite the city with views of the Golden Gate bridge in the bright sunshine. The trail is amazing and we rode through Berkeley passed the Richmond Marina, Rosie the Riveter park and museum to sweet little Pt Richmond for coffee. From there we turned around taking a break to fly the drone before ending back at the police station parking lot in Emeryville.

Thanks BARC for a sensational ride and day!

This channel is about all things trikes and RV travel. I have been riding a recumbent trike since 2005 and have been touring since 2007 all over the world. I have toured on 6 continents, in over 20 countries and cycled more than 70,000 miles. In 2020, I shifted from solo trike touring to solo RV travel. I look for primo places to ride my trike in the USA and explore this beautiful country.

On this channel I have gear reviews, tips and tutorials but, mostly, I produce short travelogue type videos of my tours as I go. I travel with a Sony ZV-1, GoPro, Insta360 One X2, Skydio drone, and an iphone. Thanks for subscribing and following along!

I also have an extensive journal on Blogger that goes into much more detail about the area and the emotional ups and down. The blog has a link to Garmin stats and a map of every day's ride. There are also a ton of pictures. You can find it following this link:
