The Cattle Pass Tide Race is one of the most fun currents in Washington to play in. It is located at Davis Point on the Southwest corner of Lopez Island next to the Southeast corner of San Juan Island. Every year a group of us get together and ride the Ebb Tide from Anacortes to Davis Point timed just right that we can play in the Flood current. Once we've spent enough time during the peak flood tide, we take the remaining current to assist us all the way up to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. There we get to enjoy some food before riding on the ferry back to Anacortes. It can be quite an exhausting day but the memories created are unforgettable.
