Santa Fe (round trip to) Tahoe Junction. This video is a shortened version of a full-length video at the above URL. Follow this LGB F7 A-B-A Santa Fe with its string of six cars. The Tahoe Junction Division has almost 2,000 feet of track. The "Big Hill" is 100 feet long. It is practically a continuous 6% grade with multiple tunnels, shear cliffs, and two viaducts; one is over 5 feet high. Leave from the main yard, see the spectacular 3 Bridges Gorge, traverse the high desert, travel through the tunnels of Eights' Pass, ride along the edge of the massive China Wall, go through Harris Junction, ride atop the impressive viaduct, into Mooser Tunnel and then to the top station, Tahoe Junction.
