Pucker Gallery hosted a conversation with writer and artist Claire Nivola, Managing Director of The Saul Steinberg Foundation Patterson Sims, and Gallery Director Bernie Pucker.
Knowing Saul Steinberg in New York as a next-door neighbor in the Hamptons, and as a lifetime family friend, Claire Nivola, the daughter of artists, was the recipient of many sketches and drawings from Steinberg. Steinberg and her father, Costantino Nivola, were very close friends. Her life-long memories of Steinberg as a person and an artist are the core subject of this conversation.
The exhibition 'Saul Steinberg: Selected Masterworks' was on view at Pucker Gallery from 5 June through 11 July 2021.
