In today's video I will be showing you how I saved this damaged Jacobean Buffet I found at my local thrift store. The veneer is heavily damaged. The previous owner(s) did not take care of this piece, especially the top. The veneer top has cracked and bubbled over time because pot holders and coasters were not used. The varnish has started to peel off as well and the dark rings and water marks are extensive.
Whether or not a piece of furniture has been painted or refinished, you need to protect it so that damage like this doesn't happen.
I will be cleaning with TSP, repairing the veneer, filling cracks & damages, sanding the piece, painting with Shackteau Interiors millk paint in Black Beach, distressing, and sealing it with orange scented furniture wax.
If you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up, and if you didn't give it a thumbs down! Thanks for watching!
xoxo,
Holly
