Speech becomes exalted-pathetic, words are distorted, pronounced in an unnatural voice. Patients jump, tumble, roll on the floor, stick to others, swear obscenely, commit aggressive acts in relation to others or, on the contrary, lisp and climb to kiss. There is sexual disinhibition, untidiness with urine and feces. The peculiarity of hebephrenic excitation, according to A.E. Lichko (1989) is defined precisely as “splitting of passion”, when violent aggression is accompanied by laughter, and a frozen smile is combined with a frightened look; abuse - with the desire to kiss, affectionate words - with the intention of striking.
A clinic of hebephrenic arousal may include catatonic symptoms. At the same time, there are short-term hardening in one pose, short sub-stuporous states with mutism, stereotypical movements - bouncing, clapping, grimaces, shouting of the same individual phrases (verbigeration), repetition of words spoken by others (echolalia), facial reactions of others ( echochemistry).
The hebephrenic form of schizophrenia refers to transient, malignant variants of the disease. Quite quickly - within 1-2 years dementia occurs (defect) with a picture of a stable, therapy-resistant hebefren syndrome that persists for at least half a goal.
