My little Quarter horse was gifted to me lame. She has made good progress and is sound now but she can be 'ouchy' on the stony roads and trails. She lives in a large pasture with our small herd of horses. Here at home the fields are sand and quite dry but when we go trail riding in the hills that surround us, we encounter Canadian shield, large rocks and stony trails. We also go through a lot of water and mud. I have tried other boots but she comes home with rubbed heels from the boots getting wet and her heal bulbs softened from the moisture trapped in the boot.
This is an account of our first and second longer rides where we put our new scoot boots to the test with very satisfying results.
I would recommend having them fitted by a scoot boot stockist. There are I think 25 sizes? I was very pleased with the service I received from Vicki Majaury here in Ontario.
