In the video I show you 3 ways to create this technique using either scraps of clay, or brand-new clay, to create a lovely detailed pattern. Suitable for absolute beginners to experienced clayers, I show you everything you need to know and take you through creating both the patterned veneer and a finished work.

I use this type of crystals in the piece, http://www.spellboundbead.co.uk/p/2341/FS008-25mm-Crystal-Chaton . You can buy them from many retailers both online and in craft/bead shops, and also find cheaper alternatives if you shop around. You can of course use flat backed ones instead, and glue them on, after your piece has baked.
