My brother and I hiked down to the banks of a free flowing river in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains for some late winter musky fishing. The water temperature started at about 40F and rose to 41F throughout the day. The air temperature reached about 50F. Muskies were found in slower pools near deep water. Most action occurred mid afternoon.
