In this video, I'll build an AI recruiter agent inside of a full-stack app with NextJS to automate initial phone screens to candidates. The agent will do personalized research and interview prep for the candidate before the call, then call them using the voice AI platform VAPI AI (similar to Bland AI or Retell AI), acting as an AI phone agent to conduct phone screening. After the call finishes, a full score report will be built to summarize and grade the candidate's performance. Combining all 3 parts together, this is pretty much a voice AI app built on top of VAPI and OpenAI, similar to something voice SaaS (software as a service) without a couple of features such as features and batch calling. At the core of this app is the AI voice agent, which is essentially a transient assistant in VAPI (or maybe called dynamic assistant or dynamic agent), acting as an outbound AI caller to make the phone calls.
