After testing the 130 mm RockShox Recon RL fork, I discovered, that the dust seals allow quite a lot dirt to get into the stanchions. The fork still worked OK, but I don't think it would survive a whole season, without this service.
In this guide I will do the following:
- clean the fork from outside,
- remove the lower legs and clean them and the dust seals,
- disassemble the ait spring and grease all the parts,
- disassemble the damper and grease it,
- clean the upper legs,
- assemble everything.
