It's common for vault men to work in all weather. At times, it is possible to wait out storms, but when time is of the essence, we are not always able to do so.
A little rain never hurt anyone, but we are cautious of the lightning. It's all part of being a Vault man, and these services must be provided no matter the weather.
One of our main priorities is to shield the families from weather such as this. Luckily, the storms moved past as the family arrived.
For my second service, I had the honor of setting the committal service for a World War 2 Veteran, I've worked in this industry for over 8 years, and the firing of 21 guns, and the sound of taps is something that always brings a tear to my eye. Thank you to all who have served in the armed forces of this great nation 🇺🇸🙏
