This is an Earth friendly sewing project to make a reusable microwave popcorn bag that is as easy to make as microwave popcorn! Let me know if you make one! It is critical that you only use cotton in making these bags. Polyester will melt in the microwave - and that is no bueno. ** if you found this helpful you can leave me a tip in my KoFi account https://ko-fi.com/christinesewsalot all of the money from this account will go back into this channel. I do appreciate it!** Materials: 100% Cotton Fabric , 100% Cotton Thread, measuring tool, pins or clips, scissors or rotary cutter and mat - and a sewing machine. The popcorn bags only take minutes to make. Cutting dimensions: 12 inches by 22 inches (cut 2, one for exterior and one for lining.) Popping time will vary by microwave. Do not leave your popcorn unattended in the microwave. My microwave takes 2 minutes and 38 seconds,. Just like with the commercially packaged microwave popcorn when you hear the popping slowing between pops, take it out. The popcorn will be hot so be careful when dumping it into your bowl and enjoy! These popcorn bags make great gifts, are something you could sell at a craft fair (which is where my latest makes are going), and is a handy thing to have at home.
