Mr. Zaidi revealed several untold stories that were eye-opening to us. His speech focused on analyzing Pakistan's economic situation from a real perspective. Shabbar Zaidi began his speech from the Past and mentioned that Pakistan’s economy’s default started in 1979. What is the current situation and where are we heading to? Regarding tax reforms, according to Zaidi, the institution has failed to effectively address tax evasion, broaden the tax base, or create trust between taxpayers and the state. He believes the FBR's inefficiencies stem from outdated practices, bureaucratic inertia, and corruption.
