Last month, I was in Shanghai for a year-end vacation from 19 Dec 2024 till 30 Dec 2024, and got around the city by the extensive metro system.
Here is a ride onboard a Line 10 AlstomMetropolis 10A01 train, Set 10 007, from Hongqiao Road, to East Nanjing Road station.
This line is Shanghai's first fully automated driverless GOA4 system that runs in a northeast–southwest fashion, uses Alstom Metropolis trains and is mostly underground, similar to Singapore's North East Line (NEL), thus giving some form of familiarity.
During this trip, I rode on 5 of the 18 metro lines - Lines 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10.
Over the next few weeks (or months) I will be sharing videos of the metro trains I took during my Dec 2024 holiday in Shanghai, as well as during my short day trips in Suzhou and Nanjing.
