Shamsi Behrooz (Shemshok), a talented Balochi singer from the village of Bahou Kalat, began her singing journey at the age of thirteen and continued her passion even after marriage. Deeply in love with singing, she became a beloved figure in her region, with locals referring to her as the "Hayedeh of Balochistan." Her mesmerizing voice drew the admiration of many who eagerly awaited the chance to hear her sing.
Shemshok shares that after the tragic loss of her daughter, she finds it difficult to sing the same way as she once did, yet her passion remains unwavering. In a time when female singing is often forbidden, Shemshok bravely continues to sing, preserving and celebrating the rich culture and traditions of the Baloch people through her voice.
