This impressive reverse engineering effort was released about a month ago, and it is, as far as I can tell, almost identical to original Sega arcade game.
My understanding is this was achieved by disassembling the original arcade code and, presumably, recompiling it to run on the Neo Geo hardware. I think you'd have to run the two versions side by side to spot any noticeable difference, because at face value, it seems identical.
Anyway, it's still Shinobi, the same classic shuriken-hurling arcade game created by Sega in the late 1980s. If you enjoyed the original, there's no reason you won't enjoy this.
