In a previous tiktok video, I condemned Shounen and Seinen’s animanga objectification of female characters and explained the harm that it causes to our society. A lot of commenters claimed that Shoujo is not better because it objectifies men. So, today I examine how objectification theory applies on Shoujo manga and anime’s representation of male characters.
