The Toyota Tundra is the only full-size pickup truck for sale in North America that isn't from an 'American' brand. Has Toyota solved the V6 engine issues they've been experiencing? We find out. This 2024 Toyota Tundra Crewmax Limited Nighshade Edition comes very well equipped for the same price as a poorly equipped Ford F-150 STX. For about $72k you have a very capable truck, 11,000 lbs of towing, 1,600 lbs of hauling, heated and ventilated front seats, navigation, backup camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more. Nile goes over the technical specs of this truck along with some info about the recalls Toyota has had related to this i-FORCE V6 engine. We then hit the road to talk about the overall fuel economy of this vehicle along with our thoughts on how this truck drives, rides, and handles, along with some shortcomings it may have. Truck buyers are very particular when it comes to their brand, so while a truck like the Tundra may check off all the boxes for a potential buyer, they may still buy the truck they've made an emotional connection with, which is an on-going battle for Toyota.
