How to achieve Mastery in Yog?
Shree Krishna says achieving Mastery in Yog or uniting one's consciousness with the Supreme Lord requires Mastery over the mind. Mastering the mind requires defeating mood swings and keeping the mind focused, which is key to maintaining the state of Yog. How to do that?

yogi yunjita satatam atmanam rahasi sthitah
ekaki yata-chittatma nirashir aparigrahah
BG 6.10: Those who seek the state of Yog should reside in seclusion, constantly engaged in meditation with a controlled mind and body, getting rid of desires and possessions for enjoyment.
शुचौ देशे प्रतिष्ठाप्य स्थिरमासनमात्मन: |
नात्युच्छ्रितं नातिनीचं चैलाजिनकुशोत्तरम् || 11||
shuchau deshe pratishthapya sthiram asanam atmanah
natyuchchhritam nati-nicham chailajina-kushottaram
BG 6.11: To practice Yog, one should make an āsan (seat) in a sanctified place, by placing Kuśh grass, deer skin, and a cloth, one over the other. The āsan should be neither too high nor too low.
तत्रैकाग्रं मन: कृत्वा यतचित्तेन्द्रियक्रिय: |
उपविश्यासने युञ्ज्याद्योगमात्मविशुद्धये || 12||
tatraikagram manah kritva yata-chittendriya-kriyah
upavishyasane yunjyad yogam atma-vishuddhaye
BG 6.12-13: Seated firmly on it, the yogi should strive to purify the mind by focusing it in meditation with one pointed concentration, controlling all thoughts and activities. He must hold the body, neck, and head firmly in a straight line, and gaze at the tip of the nose, without allowing the eyes to wander.
