History and Construction The temple was built between 1811 and 1815 by Raja Gopal Singh of Manimajra. Additionally, in 1840, Maharaja Karam Singh of Patiala constructed another temple within the premises, known as the "Patiala Temple." The temple complex spans approximately 100 acres and includes several smaller temples and facilities for devotees. Festivals and Special Events Grand fairs are organized at the temple during Chaitra (Spring) and Ashwin (Autumn) Navratri, attracting millions of devotees. During these festivals, the temple is beautifully decorated, and special prayers, feasts (bhandaras), and cultural programs are conducted.
