Sri Sivan SAR is a great Siddha Purusha! Hailing from the glorious lineage of Govinda Deekshithar, Sri Sivan SAR took birth on 03rd October 1904 in Eechangudi near Thiruvaiyaaru on the banks of the holy river Kaveri in the month of Puratassi and star PUSHYA.

Sri SAR attained mahasamadhi at Chennai on 07th March 1996 in his 91st age on a Phalguna Krishna Paksha Dvithiya thithi.
