I am not from Korea, and some might say I have no right to speak about their culture. But if that culture includes bullying someone to the point of taking their own life, then yes, I will talk about it. Because this is beyond unacceptable. This is evil.
South Korea’s cancel culture is a disease that needs to be eradicated. Time and time again, we see people hounded to their lowest point, and instead of self-reflection, the cycle repeats. Someone makes a mistake, the media and netizens drag them through hell, and when the worst happens, suddenly, everyone pretends to care for a few days. Then, they move on to their next target. , instead of self-reflecting, these people decided to redirect their cruelty toward other idols—especially Suga. Yes, you heard that right. People are out here tweeting, “I wish it was Suga instead of her,” or “Suga is still here, and she is gone.”
What kind of monster do you have to be to say something like this? Do you even hear yourselves? Someone lost their life, and your immediate reaction is to use their death as an excuse to attack someone else? This isn’t grief. This isn’t mourning. This is pure, unfiltered hatred disguised as outrage.
