Filmed in December 1967 and aired on January 3rd, 1968; Simon & Garfunkel's Kraft Music Hall appearance has largely remained in obscurity. The show first emerged on the internet in the 2000s as a VHS transfer of a black and white 16mm kinescope. Unlike other 60s NBC shows, the Kraft mastertapes were not wiped and re-used. Footage of the color mastertape first appeared in a 2012 PBS documentary, showcasing the Sound of Silence. In November 2015 Keith Sluchansky's "Revolver Records and Video" YouTube channel posted a watermarked copy of Kraft in color. Unfortunately the Revolver copy omitted "Anji" "Patterns" and "Feelin Groovy." Color footage of Kraft would not be seen again until March 2024 when the documentary "In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon." showed a small clip of Art's intro for The Sound of Silence. What I've done here is combine the best clips available to make the best copy on the internet. I hope you all enjoy.
