This was a nice simple post-salvage tow for a boat Capt Frank salvaged a few days prior. Everything was going fine until right before we got to the boat ramp, the sky opened up, and we got soaked with the biggest raindrops I’ve ever seen! I was supposed to go look at another boat to salvage, but decided I did not have the desire to spend any more time in this cold rain and booked it back to the marina and went home.

What was supposed to be a smooth and routine post-salvage tow turned into an unexpected soaking adventure! A few days after salvaging a boat, Captain Frank and I were towing it back to the boat ramp. Everything was going smoothly until we were almost there, and then out of nowhere, the sky opened up, unleashing some of the biggest raindrops I’ve ever seen. The rain was so intense, it felt like buckets of water were pouring down on us!
Despite the unexpected storm, we pushed on toward the ramp, completely drenched by the time we arrived. I had planned to go check out another boat for a potential salvage job, but after getting soaked in the cold rain, I decided that was enough for one day. I called it quits and booked it straight back to the marina to dry off and head home.
