**SIMPLE STREET DRAWING IN THREE COLOURS | Line and Wash Technique**
Welcome to my latest art video! In this episode, I create a simple yet captivating street drawing using the classic **line and wash technique**, a favourite in the **urban sketching movement**. This method combines the precision of ink lines with the fluidity of watercolour for a quick yet effective drawing.

For this artwork, I began by sketching directly with a **Kaweco Sport fountain pen** filled with **Platinum Carbon Black waterproof ink**—perfect for detailed, smudge-free lines. No pencil sketches or erasers here—just raw, straight-to-paper confidence! After completing the ink drawing, I brought the scene to life using only **three watercolour shades**.
**Why the Line and Wash Technique?**
This technique is highly valued by urban sketchers for its speed, flexibility, and visual impact. By emphasizing bold ink lines and layering them with vibrant watercolour, it captures the essence of a scene in minimal time while still looking polished and artistic. It’s an ideal method for urban sketching and drawing on the go.
