Soil is the backbone for next year's vegetable growth. The end of the slack year is an ideal time to rebuild healthy soil.
Today I would like to share with you our ways to build healthy soil and fertilize our California vegetable garden in winter. We mainly used two different methods - one is the bokashi (the easiest composting system especially suitable for a small garden, or balcony garden), and the other is winter cover crops/green manure.
