Recipe:
1 cup warm water
2 1/4 tsp dry active yeast
1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp butter melted
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
Direction:
1. In the bowl of your stand mixer, combine warm water, dry active yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the yeast activates and becomes foamy.
2. Attach the dough hook to your stand mixer. Add melted butter to the yeast mixture in the bowl.
3. Add the flour and salt to the bowl, mix on low speed until a dough forms.
4. Increase the speed to medium-low and knead the dough with the dough hook for about 5-7 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
5. Once the dough is kneaded, transfer it to a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
6. After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air bubbles, then shape it into a loaf and place it into a greased loaf pan.
7. Cover the loaf pan with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rise again for another 30-60 minutes, until it reaches the top of the pan.
8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
9. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until it turns golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
11. Once cooled, slice the bread and enjoy it for sandwiches or toast!
