Full recording of my recent Site-Specific Sound Scoring @ Ex-Cartiera in Marzabotto. This performance was my way of giving voice to a space in transition. The Ex-Cartiera in Marzabotto, an industrial site undergoing regeneration, served as both stage and subject. The vast, raw architecture carried echoes of its past, while the cold air reminded us that transformation is still in progress. Even the temperature shaped the experience—I played with gloves on. I approached this performance differently—playing not as an artist expressing emotions, but as a mediator, channeling the resonance of the space itself. The environment dictated the sound: restrained, immersive, and reflective of the industrial silence that surrounded us. Visitors moved through the installation, absorbing sound as it blended with the unfinished surfaces, the high ceilings, the distant hum of construction. Every frequency was a dialogue between history, present, and future—a fleeting moment of sonic presence in a place finding its new identity. This event was part of Art City Bologna 2025, with Bologna Modulare contributing with a live soundscape from 17:30 to 20:00. 🔵 Ex-Cartiera Marzabotto – February 8, 2025 🔷 Curated by Giulia Pezzoli 🔹 Installation by Alek O. 🎛 Sound by Bologna Modulare (Vincenzo Scorza, Vladyslav Yakovenko, Daniele Borri). ― Hi, I'm Polyterative, live performer, programmer and designer.
