### Location and Accessibility
Sittong is situated about 35 kilometers from Darjeeling and around 20 kilometers from Kurseong. The village is accessible via a scenic drive through winding mountain roads, offering stunning views of lush green valleys and distant peaks.

### Attractions
1. **Orange Orchards**:
- Sittong is famous for its lush orange orchards, especially vibrant during the harvest season from November to January. Walking through these orchards offers a picturesque experience.
2. **Sittong Monastery**:
- A peaceful and spiritual place, the Sittoj Monastery is a great spot to experience local culture and spirituality.
3. **Latpanchar**:
- Located nearby, Latpanchar is part of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s an excellent spot for bird watching, especially for sightings of the Rufous-necked Hornbill.
4. **Ahaldara Viewpoint**:
- This viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of the Kanchenjunga range.
5. **Namthing Pokhri**:
- A beautiful natural lake that is home to the rare Himalayan Salamander. It's a peaceful spot perfect for a quiet picnic.
6. **Mungpoo**:
- Known for its connection with the famous poet Rabindranath Tagore, Mungpoo hosts the Rabindra Museum, dedicated to his works and time spent in the area.
