Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Today, we're diving into one of my favorite techniques: the continuous line, or oneliner. It's such a playful and funky way to draw, and I love how it keeps you focused on the process rather than the details. Plus, it really helps to embrace the wonkiness!
In this video, I'm drawing a familiar still life subject using a Uniball Eye Rollerball pen and adding some (limited) color and texture with colored pencils.
I invite and challenge you to try this technique. Your sketchbook is your playground, so don't take it too seriously—just have fun!
Your assignment this week:
Grab your sketchbook and try drawing your chosen subject or still life using a continuous line.
Materials I used:
- Stillman & Birn Beta Series sketchbook
- Uniball Eye Rollerball - Broad
- Caran d'Ache Luminance Colored Pencils
Happy drawing!
Don't forget—it's not about what you draw, but why you draw. Because it makes you happy!
